CORPVS

CHRISTIANORVM

 Gerardi Magni Opera omnia

This subseries in eight volumes of Corpus Christianorum, Continuatio Mediaeualis comprises the collected works of Geert Grote (1340-1384), founder of the religious reform movement Deuotio Moderna, which spread over the Low Countries and a large part of modern Germany in the course of the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries and peaked around 1450. Grote preached and practised a life of inner devotion, following in the footsteps of Christ and his first followers. The editions in all volumes are based on a critical study of all surviving manuscripts.
