Creation of the ‘Dom Eligius Dekkers Fund for the Edition  and Transmission of Pre‐Modern Texts &amp

To honour the memory of Dom Eligius Dekkers, creator and first director of Corpus Christianorum, a research fund was created at the KU Leuven to support the study and edition of, mainly, Patristic and Medieval texts in Latin, Greek and Oriental languages. The Dom Eligius Dekkers Fund supports the activities of LECTIO, the ‘Leuven Centre for the Study of the Transmission of Texts and Ideas in Antiquity, the Middle Ages and the Renaissance’ (Research Centre & Laboratory for Critical Text Editing), led by prof. Gerd Van Riel.
